Gulf Service's History

1977

GULF SERVICE was established in 1977, primarily as an Industrial Tool supplier dealing with hand tools, power tools etc, with limited agency tie ups. The head office was located at Al Wadi Al Kabir, Muscat region. A show room and a store was also established along with the head office

1978

GULF SERVICE opened their first show room outside Muscat at Salalah, South of Oman

1980

Considering the future infrastructure developments being planned in Oman, GULF SERVICE diversified into Auto Garage business. GULF SERVICE tied up with world reputed leaders of Auto Garage equipment manufacturers

1982

GULF SERVICE continued its expansion by adding industrial plant access & lifting equipments

1985

Having studied the future industrial expansion in Oman, GULF SERVICE diversified into Welding products and Personal Safety Equipments. Over the years GULF SERVICE added many brands in these portfolios.

1990

GULF SERVICE entered into water and waste water sector. GULF SERVICE also started a workshop for package pump skids, especially for domestic, irrigation and community development requirements

1995

To support the Industrialization plans being planned at Sohar, GULF SERVICE opened their third show room at Sohar. In fact GULF SERVICE was one of the first companies to open a show room and stoking facilities at Sohar

2000

New Oil & Gas division was formed.

2003

GULF SERVICE entered Qatar market by establishing an outlet at Qatar. Arabi Company Qatar was formed to cater to various developments & industrialization activities in Qatar.

2005

GULF SERVICE opened their fourth show rooms at Sur, 300KM form Muscat in Oman

2007

GULF SERVICE established their second overseas outlet in Dubai. GULF SERVICE established Arabi Emirate’s to cater to various international markets

2007

GULF SERVICE has opened Mechanical Seal workshop at Wadi Kabir with technical support of world reputed manufacturer CHETRA (Germany) .
